Crucially, skyTECH Rocket uses polyurethane wheels which run smoothly with no metal-on-metal friction. This proven technology increases cable life span from the industry standard of 2-5 years to 10-15 years—an increase in the cables lifespan by up to 500%! The skyTECH System also allows for multiple line installations (up to 10 wide), greatly increasing throughput, profit, and FUN!
During project development, our engineers analyze cable sag to ensure every steel wire is accurately hung for ultimate safety, and rider envelope clearances. Operational costs are minimized as all connections are galvanized steel, preventing rust and corrosion.
It is critical to have a durable and strong wire for zipline installations. This is what enables Skyline to create safe courses around canyons, waterfalls, rivers, ski hills, amusement centers, water parks, and zoos around the world. In fact, over 500,000 feet of our zipline cable has been strung worldwide, incorporating our advanced technologies and benefits of the skyTECH System.
We take safety very seriously but also consider the rider’s experience every step of the way. Larger rope cables deliver both of these benefits.
Our cables are supported by trolley systems that are available in multiple sizes. These include the skyTECH Rocket, the only DOSH-approved zipline trolley, and the skyTECH Turbine. The skyTECH M8 supports even more cable sizes and allows for higher speed performance. It features a frictionless resistance system that slows riders down and can be easily adapted to different rider weights. There is no metal-on-metal friction which minimizes its affect on the cable prolonging its life up to 5 times longer.
